Placing and Paying for an Order

First Edition Book Sales uses PayPal to allow you to quickly, easily and safely place an order and pay for your books online. With PayPal you can either pay through your existing PayPal account or with your credit card. To sign up for a PayPal account go to the PayPal home page right now. Once you have a PayPal account you can use it with online merchants all over the world, on eBay, and to send money online in any currency.

As you browse through the bookshop you will see Add to Cart buttons next to each book on the bookshelves and at the bottom of each book page. If you would like to purchase the book click on the Add to Cart button, this will take you to your Shopping Cart where the item and its price will be listed. You can check your Shopping Cart at any time by clicking on the View Cart button which you’ll find at the bottom of every page of the catalogue.

You can then either click on Continue Shopping to come back to the catalogue and choose more books, or Proceed to the Checkout. You can always remove items from your Shopping Cart by clicking on Remove.

When your Shopping Cart is full, you can choose to pay by Credit Card (Mastercard, Visa or Bankcard)or by your PayPal account. To pay by credit card click on Check Out and fill in your credit card details. To pay by PayPal, click on Check Out with PayPal, enter your password and proceed to pay from your PayPal account.

First Edition will be notified immediately your order is placed. Your books will be despatched within 5 working days.

Redeeming a Voucher

If you have a PayPal Gift, Rewards or Prize Voucher, this can be redeemed as you go through the PayPal checkout. Select PayPal as your payment option. When prompted, you may either add your redemption code or select the gift certificate you would like to use. You can then pay the balance of your purchase using your PayPal account.

Postage Charges (within Australia only)

Postage is charged automatically and charges are based on the total cost of the items purchased, as follows:

Outside Australia

The above postage rates are for within Australia only. Unfortunately, as international postage rates are prohibit, we cannot offer to send items abroad routinely. If you do wish to place an order from abroad, please email first with a request for a postage rate and one will be negotiated. Any orders placed from abroad will be reluctantly refunded unless preceded by such a request.

If an item is to be sent abroad you will be sent a Paypal Request Money requesting a supplementary payment to be paid over and above a standard Paypal order.
